UNISON Cymru/Wales is hosting a weekend of events for young members in November this year.

The hybrid event, which starts on Friday November 18 at 5pm, will be held in Cardiff and include an AGM as well as events focused on leadership and aspiring management and employment law for young members.

Charlotte Turner-Clark and Shannon Walters (pictured above) of UNISON’s Swansea Bay health branch will be among those attending.

Ryan Hopkins of the UNISON City and County of Swansea branch will be attending the event and said: “I am excited to learn more from my fellow delegates and speakers and look forward to expanding my knowledge of the trade union Movement.

“I also want to be more active in the union and play a part in achieving better pay, hours, and conditions, for my fellow members.”

A spokesperson for the young members weekend said: “This event will be an opportunity to meet with fellow young members, learn how UNISON and the young members committee works, and find out the endless opportunities that UNISON offers to young members, from education courses, to helping to resolve big issues affecting young members today.”
