UNISON Cymru Wales has put together a crack team to visit schools across Wales to talk to learning support staff about registration.
Jess Turner, head of the project to help UNISON members in schools in Wales, says: ‘The purpose of the project is to inform our members about what is coming. Registration will change things for many support staff in Wales so we have a responsibility to keep members informed and hear their views. We also need to make sure that those not already in a union join up before registration happens.’
The team will cover the whole of Wales but will be delivering one message: wherever you are, registered professionals need to belong to a union and UNISON is the largest union representing support staff.
If you’d like to arrange a visit, contact your local UNISON branch. And if you see us at your school come and say hi!
