A major celebration of a fantastic year of UNISON training courses will be held as part of an annual event honouring the work of trade unions throughout Wales and across the UK.
UNISON, which is the largest public services union in Wales, is hosting the hour-long event highlighting key training achievements over the past 12 months.
The virtual session, which runs from midday to 1pm on Wednesday February 15, is being held as part of the annual Heart Unions week which promotes the work of all trade unions within the UK.
Popular courses throughout 2022 included everything from cost-of-living survival and secondary and vicarious trauma to mindfulness, transgender awareness and green social prescribing.
A UNISON member who attended one of the key courses during Adult Learners Week said: “I really appreciate that UNISON and the Open University are working together to provide courses to trade union members which will help us to tackle the climate and nature crisis.”
Another who attended a course on secondary and vicarious trauma said: “I really enjoyed this course, very informative and gave me a lot greater understanding. Helped me also understand my own feelings and found it helpful listening to other people’s stories and views within the group.”
Anyone looking to attend the event next week can register online here.
