UNISON Cymru/Wales has today decided to suspend the industrial action in the NHS planned for Monday 10 November and consult members on new proposals put forward by the Welsh government.
UNISON members working in the NHS in Wales were planning a half-day stoppage, followed by a week of action short of strike action, between Tuesday 12 and Friday 14 November.
UNISON Cymru/Wales head of health Dawn Bowden said: “These new proposals are a significant improvement for our members and the result of weeks of tough negotiations with the Welsh government.
“It is right that our NHS members now have a say and we will consult them on the new proposals.”
