Calling notice: Neath Port Talbot Council Fair Funding Event: Save Our Services

Neath Port Talbot politicians will gather at the Council’s Offices Civic Centre Port Talbot for a ‘Question Time’-style event with employees of the local authority at 1pm on Friday 11 October 2019.

UNISON’s Neath Port Talbot Local Government branch has organised the session to highlight the damage being wrought by severe UK government spending cuts on local services.

The panel includes Labour’s Shadow Secretary of State for Wales Christina Rees MP; Carolyn Harris MP; Stephen Kinnock MP; Mike Hedges AM; Lee Waters AM; Cllr Anthony Hunt (leader, Torfaen council); Cllr Rob Jones (leader, NPTC) and Steven Phillips (chief executive NPTC).

UNISON spokespeople and politicians will be available for interview.

A photo call with T-Rex ‘dinosaur’ to highlight services becoming extinct will be outside the Civic Centre at 11.45am.
