Assemble outside BBC Broadcasting House, Portland Place, London,
UNISON is mobilising for the People’s Assembly demonstration: Not one more day #ToriesOut in London. Let’s have the best possible turnout from Cymru/Wales members, friends and families.
UNISON general secretary Dave Prentis has called on Theresa May to resign and promised UNISON would “bring enough balloons to start a revolution” on this demonstration.
We are marching for a decent health service, education system, housing, jobs and living standards for all. There will be a minute’s silence for the victims of Grenfell Tower and a minute’s applause for the emergency services.
Do you need transport? We are organising coaches and would like to gauge the level of interest in attending from branches. A south Wales coach is being planned to start in Swansea and make pick-ups in Bridgend, Cardiff and Swansea along the M4 corridor. A north Wales coach is also being organised and pick-ups along the way will be arranged. There may be a small contribution required on a cost per person basis from branches.
Please could let Amber Courtney email@example.com know the following ASAP:
- Does your branch plan to attend?
- How many spaces will your branch require?
- Where would you like to be picked up from? (Swansea/Bridgend/Cardiff/Newport/North Wales)
We don’t have much time so it’s essential you let us know as soon as possible
The demonstration will assemble at 12pm outside BBC Broadcasting House, Portland Place, London, W1A 1AA and march to Parliament Square.
